Character Name: Sapphire Koreen Al'Aran
Birthday:
Age: 78. Though that's considered young for her race, she's about 17 in human terms.
Race: Pyarian.
Height: 5' 7".
Build: Tall and slim.

Personality: Strangely bi-polar, Sapphire won't take any crap from anyone and is incredibly indignant, particularly when people mistake her for being more fragile than she is. On the other hand, she's very happy-go-lucky, and is a fun loving creature who is more or less constantly happy and hyperactive.

Appearance: The people of Pyaria have naturally tanned skin, which is an even bronze tone. Their hair is often various shades of red, orange or pink. Sapphire's happens to be magenta, and hangs in loose curls half-way down her back. Her eyes are a wonderful, grassy green and she always wears a gem of the same colour in the middle of her forehead, just above her eyebrows.

Strengths: Like all Pyarian's and their cousin's, the Tamaraneans, Sapphire's alien physiology constantly absorbs ultraviolet radiation and allows her to convert this into energy for flight. This radiation also allows her to channel and release that energy in small, destructive bursts.

As well as this Sapphire possesses superhuman strength - probably equal to that of six or seven human men.

She also has a gift with languages. By coming into physical contact with another being she is capable of assimilating their language, though no one is sure exactly how she does this, it's though to be a telepathic ability.

Weaknesses: Both flying and releasing energy blasts leave her tired and lethargic, weakening her severely. Her naivety also leads her to be easily tricked. Her temper is also easily sparked and her general excess of emotion tends to lead her to making rash decisions.

Family History/Background:

As the only daughter of a Pyarian minister, Sapphire has lived a life of relative luxury. As a minister her father was a member of the King's inner council and often acted as ambassador between planets. He had three wives - Syondra, Delora, and Koreen, the latter of which was Sapphire's mother, though she viewed the other two as Aunt-like figures.

Unfortunately, after getting her hands on a host of earthling movies Saffie decided that she wanted true love - and that meant having only one husband, a notion which the pleasure-seeking Pyarian's couldn't comprehend.

Now, while her father was initially furious with this childish notion, he soon realised that his daughter was just as intelligent and head-strong as he was, so he came to compromise - in order to avoid the humiliation and ridicule he would suffer if people found out he was allowing his daughter to marry only one man, he sent her off to University on another planet and has given her a limit of five years in which to find herself a husband... If not, she must return home and marry the man of her choice. Little does he know, Sapphire has no intention of following her father's plans and after graduating she hopes to explore the galaxy; with or without her parent's permission.
